Using a vitamin C serum and exfoliant together? Generally this is NOT a good idea, yet maybe there is a way to do this.
Vitamin C is an acid and it does promote skin cell turnover so layering with chemical exfoliants such as AHAs & BHAs which are both acidic can increase skin sensitivity, however exfoliating skin before using a vitamin C serum can boost skin brightening effect so if you know how to use properly and what type of exfoliant use together with vitamin C can be beneficial.
Innisfree has taken care of this subject and brought out a simple solution – there is no concern for skin irritation and minimal approach – sounds like selling a magic product?🤣 LOL well.. this is my choice for brightening my dull skin this month so hope you like it too. 😉

💫Conclusion
This Vitamin C serum contains not high-potency vitamin c which is good for sensitive skin yet loaded with effective vitamin c derivatives and other whitening ingredients to deliver skin brightening effects & antioxidant protection, and its non-sticky, fast-absorbing formula works well with makeup application in the morning. It increased my hydration level instantly almost similar to Innisfree Hyaluronic Acid serum and what I most like about this serum is, it gives a natural glow as if coated with thin transparent film, making my skin look youthful, plumped. It also brightens up the overall complexion and doesn’t feel dry even without moisturizer – thinly layered 2~3 times at night and slept (result may defer depending on skin type and weather though).
My tip is applying only a small amount each application, can be layered multiple times and do not over apply, the amount increases it delays absorption time and may leave a sticky feeling. If you use a Hyaluronic Acid, use vitamin C serum first, and use this serum with retinol together, then apply a retinol at night and this vitamin C serum in the morning, following with a spf.

Hi, thanks for contacting. The Innisfree VitaC Serum contains not a high percentage vitamin C but stable Vt.C derivatives so no need to store in the fridge – place in the room (cool) temperature is okay. Regards, Ji
