Pure Vitamin C Serums Recommendation

‘ISOI Bulgarian Rose Blemish Care Serum’ and ‘Goodal Green Tangerine Vitamin C Serum’ are the most popular whitening serums in Korea – they have remained popular for a long time and sold remarkable quantities, with both releasing renewal versions (II and Plus) recently. Especially ISOI Blemish Serum has more than 16,000 positive reviews and ranked best-selling product in drug stores for over 7 years, moreover lots of awards given. If you haven’t tried this, go for it – the effects are worth it (don’t expect a miracle though – skincare is not a medicine, needs time to get a visible result).

They are not pure vitamin C serums – ISOI serum is formulated with Bulgarian Rose Water & Bulgarian Rose Oil with effective whitening ingredients without harmful chemical compounds, and Goodal Green Tangerine Vitamin C Serum is formulated with 70% of nature-derived vitamin C from green tangerine(Green Tangerine Extract & Ascorbyl Glucoside), it’s non-irritant and proven to improve skin tone & hyperpigmentation within 2 weeks. (If I add my opinion, ISOI Serum is good for fading Post-Inflammatory Hyperpigmentation, and Goodal is good to improve overall skin tone/ complexion)

In this post I’d like to give some options to improve your skin tone and fade hyperpigmentation, and ‘vitamin C’ is one of most powerful/ effective ingredients so these recommendations are pure vitamin c serums along with new and hot trend in Korea (please check the IOPE Vitamin C23 details in the previous post as eliminated here).

🍋Pure Vitamin C vs Vitamin Derivatives

The original and purest form of Vitamin C (L-ascorbic acid) is water-soluble, can penetrate through the epidermal layer to trigger collagen synthesis, however it can irritate skin.
Apart from pure Vitamin C, all other derivatives are more stable and generally non-irritating for the skin, however not as potent and can’t penetrate the surface of the skin easily.

🍋Recommendations for Pure Vitamin C Serum

These serums’ formula contains pure vitamin C(L-ascorbic Acid) and stabilized with their own special, patented technologies.

5.Missha Vita C Plus Spot correcting & Firming Ampoule

This serum is not high-concentration of pure vitamin C serum, however containing vita C Liposome(25%, encapsulized of vitamin C & collagen) and Ethyl Ascorbyl Ether (vitamin C derivatives) to stabilise and deliver active ingredients effectively, leaving skin brighter, firmer and radiant-looking. It has become very popular and the winner of 2020 GlowPick(one of best beauty communities) and also titled No.1 Consumer Report blind test.

🍋Other Pure Vitamin C Serums

I have categorized these 2 serums as ‘Other’ – By Wishtrend Pure Vitamin C 21.5% Serum is not as much as popular in Korea, however it is one of Amazon best-selling product, and the other one ‘Cosrx Real Fit Vitamin C Serum C23(Ascorbic acid(23%))’ has launched at overseas first – already sold out as if proving the brand popularity. If you haven’t tried or interested in ‘Cosrx Triple C Lightening Liquid(Ascorbic acid(20%))’ as only sold in Sokoglam in USA, this is the best time to wait. The product is available in official Cosrx store.

🍋Conclusion

I am a still huge fan of pure Vitamin C serum even though it dries my skin especially appears dry patches around nose, and haven’t improved my skin as a miracle(only 2 weeks been using)😝 I am just obsessed about any type of vitamin C serums – wish tried more and introducing more. 😅

Vitamin C (Ascorbic acid) is so vital in skincare products, helping to increase collagen synthesis, providing mild exfoliation benefits and suppressing melanin production with antioxidant benefits.

🍋Check List

These lists may not work for every vitamin C serum, however generally proven to reduce skin irritation and better results so just reminding you.

• Use with Vitamin E to enhance the antioxidant effect of vitamin C and neutralize the free radicals
• Formula contains Ferulic Acid that help stabilize the serum and increase its photo-protective properties
• Formula contains niacinamide that help improve the appearance of enlarged pores, fine lines & dull skin, however not recommend for sensitive skin
• Pair with HA(Hyaluronic Acid) can yield notable results on the face, including reduced signs of wrinkles and dark spots on a daily use
• Do not follow with Retinol(a form of vitamin A) if the product warned. Some research showed that vitamin C can help retinol stabilise it and boost effectiveness, so better check the product details.
• Try to avoid AHA/BHA with vitamin C or use them on alternate days
