HERA Glow Lasting Cushion Review

One of the best-selling cushion foundations in Korea is the ‘HERA Black Cushion’ which has lightweight, medium to high coverage with long-lasting effect and delivers semi-matte finish.
I have enjoyed this ‘Black Cushion‘ more than ‘HERA Mist Cushion‘ even though a slightly lighter shade than Mist Cushion, resulting sometimes in a hard to blend visible line between the face and the neck(😅), it surely delivers a more natural-look with a semi-matte(+) finish and is comfortable on my skin.

It has been 2 years since HERA launched Black Cushion, and this time HERA also released the ‘Glow Finish’ formula like any other brands and it is named Glow Lasting Cushion’.
This new cushion foundation provides natural-looking yet dewy finish that lasts up to 24 hrs as promised by the product.

💛Main Features

  1. Thin Glow (My Skin But Glow)
Unlikely other glow-finish cushions, HERA Glow Lasting has a water-based glow, containing Hyaluronic Acid Active Powder compared to oil-based one. The formula with oil-base can cause darkening or slide around on your face as the day goes on, however this Glow Lasting Cushion may not occur this unpleasant look as quickly as other cushions, and creates a natural thin glow as if you have a good skin. The Multi-Dimensions Radiant™ technology helps create a delicate noble glow by filling with moisture of dead skin cells, leaving skin supple and plumped.

2. Invisible Thin Layer™
The combination of invisible(ultra-light) texture, thin-layer cushion sponge and special puff applicator gives buildable coverage that blends in seamlessly and evenly with the skin.

• AKA ‘Meringue Puff’ (made without harmful organic solvent such as benzene, methyl chloride) that adheres perfectly on the skin
• Thin cushion sponge takes and delivers a proper amount evenly to the skin until the content is finished.

3. 24hrs Long-lasting
HERA’s Sheer Fitting Film technology, giving exceptional light reflection and Translucent Pigment impart 24-hour fresh look as if it has just been applied.

4. UV Protection with SPF50+/PA+++

💛Shade Options (8 colors)

HERA Glow Lasting has 8 shades (added Cool undertone, eg. 17C1, 21C1 & 23C1 which are slightly lighter than ‘N'(neutral tone) so if you want a more radiant look recommend this ‘C’ shade). Shade matching guide with Black Cushion, check this below image.

I have compared with other AmorePacific manufactured cushions and these are all No.23(N) shades. Laneige is a more neutral medium compared to HERA Glow, and Black has a slightly pinky base, and lastly Sulwhasoo cushions are typically yellow base however Sulwhasoo Snow White has slightly pink base than Sulwahsoo Perfecting.

💛Other Features

  1. Glow Cushion VS Glow Foundation

Glow Lasting Cushion (23N1) is lighter than HERA Glow Lasting Foundation(23N1) so if need a bit tone-down natural look, you can apply Glow Foundation under this Glow Lasting Cushion – it provides more coverage too (or you can use HERA Concealer before this cushion for same result).

2. Cushion Compact Design

It looks more luxurious with white & gold color and engraving the logo on the case looks better than plain lettering. The cushion refill design is slightly higher than other cushions so when you open the case be aware the puff may fall down – overall I like it😍.

3. Mask-proof
It’s not 100% mask proof however it doesn’t mess up my filter mask.

4. Coverage
I have tried on my bare skin without removing dead skin cells and using Zoom Camera. The Glow Cushion doesn’t cover all my pores, wrinkles and pigmentation with a single application, however it provides buildable, natural-medium coverage so multiple applications could provide what you desired without a cakey look, or simply layer with your favorite concealer or small amount of foundation.

5. Refill Compatibility
HERA cushions are all different sizes unfortunately so they will not be compatible with other HERA cushions.

6. HERA Glow Lasting Cushion Dewy

This new cushion is a tone up cushion and comes in a mini size(5g). Designed for adding glow for a highlight zone such as cheek, forehead or wherever you want to create a dewy-glowing look. Also good for touching up makeup throughout the day.

HERA Glow Cushion is lightweight, buildable and certainly delivers dewy-looking, natural yet radiant glow. It feels comfortable all day and I haven’t touched up until later night (11 hrs). It has a slightly lighter shade than I expected, however settled in really well.

Thanks for reading this long-post^^

Wish had a flawless, younger skin like Jennie (The Face of HERA brand)😆 – just wanted to tell what product she used in this photo.
